In an internal vendor evaluation conducted across Taj Hotels, Empire Foods achieved an overall performance score of 96%, significantly higher than the average vendor score of 85%.
Basa Fish – Empire Foods Featured in Forbes India – 2011
Empire Foods played a pioneering role in introducing Basa Fish fillets to the Indian hospitality industry. Under the leadership of Yogesh Grover, the company brought high-quality Vietnamese Basa fish to India, transforming how many hotels and restaurants serve fish dishes.
This innovation gained international attention and was featured in Forbes India in an article titled “A Fish Called Basa.” The feature highlighted how the introduction of Basa fish significantly influenced the seafood market in India and quickly became a preferred choice for chefs due to its mild flavor, boneless fillets, and versatility in cooking.
